Sonos Retail 3D Renders

Role – 3D Texturing, Lighting & Rendering

During the fall of 2019, Sonos, maker of wireless home sound systems launched its first ever portable speaker – the Sonos Move. For this launch I was brought on by Instrument to concept and visualize retail displays featuring the new speaker. We worked on several concepts for the Sonos flagship New York store and many more that might be seen at your local big box retailer.

Working with an exsiting 3D model of the product, I used Cinema 4D and OctaneRender to quickly work up dozens of variations. For several of the NYC store renders I used projection mapping to composite the 3D models into a reference photo. The great controls OctaneRender offer inside of C4D allowed most of the renders to be placed into a deck for review without any post production. I really enjoy this type of 3D protoyping work and I'm looking forward to doing more of it in the future.
